Nominated!

I was visiting Cessology's blog and found out that she nominated me. Thank you, it is an honor. :) Now, the hard part begins. Finding 15 bloggers to pass this on to. I have a few in mind, but will not amount to 15. I will still look for more.

Teaching

When I was in my early 20s, I used to do job-hopping. I can't stay in a workplace for at least 2 years. Last thing I remembered, the longest was 1 year and 5 months. Then after that, I can't stay even for a year. Until I landed a job I've been avoiding since I graduated... a teaching post.

You see, I have a degree in education. But I preferred not to practice. Personal reasons. But here I am, on my 5th year of teaching, and still at the same school. Imagine that! For me, this is already an achievement. I managed to stay in one company for 5 years and was offered another contract. To think that I was avoiding teaching for the longest time, and this is the job that will keep me still. It has taught me a lot like patience and tolerance. And it feels really good to see that a child is learning from me, that I am contributing skills that he/she can use everyday.

An aunt once told that if you want to get rich, don't teach. But seeing the kids learn from me, gives me fulfillment. The kind that makes you want to do your job even better. And besides, teaching is a very important profession. There will be no presidents, engineers, architects or even doctors without a teacher. ;)

Advice

Ano, iniisip mo pa din na yung gagawin mo e baka masaktan sya? E nung ginawa nya yung panloloko nya sayo, inisip ba nya na masasaktan ka nya?

 

Isang advice nung early 20's ko, sa isang taong hindi ko kilala at random ko lang nakausap sa telepono. Nagrarant ako, kasi niloko ako ng jowa ko, pero I'm trying to be the bigger person, pinipilit kong intindihin. Siguro dahil wala akong oras sa kanya, hindi kami madalas magkita. Napaisip ako. Oo nga no. Para akong tanga na iisipin ko kung masasaktan sya sa gagawin ko, e habang niloloko nya ako, hindi naman nya inisip kung masasaktan nya ako o hindi.

Dun ko narealize na kung gusto ko maging masaya, na sa akin yun. It's up to me if I want to be happy or sad. That the decision lies in my hands. Not on other people.
